La voluntad del Ayuntamiento era dar forma a un espacio público que corrigiera la escasez de espacio lúdico y la excesiva densidad de usuarios en el frente marítimo.

El fuerte oleaje y lo abrupto de las rocas dificulta el baño en el mar.

Se opta por alargar los dos espigones, lo cual permite al mismo tiempo construir para pequeños, lugares de baño y solariums.

Estos espigones conducen el paseo hacia el mar y dan lugar, así, al espacio que parecen pedir los bloques, excesivamente altos y excesivamente cercanos al mar.

Con ello se pretende corregir no sólo el número de personas respecto al espacio disponible,

sino también la sección de la ciudad ante el mar.

Los espigones abrigan una zona de juegos, luces y plataformas de madera se combinan trazando un dibujo en el mar.

Nuestra intención es convertir todo el frente marítimo en un lugar de juegos durante el día y de paseo y estancia contemplativa durante las noches.

The decision to extend the two breakwaters also enables playground, bathing and sunbathing areas to be built into them.

The breakwaters take the seafront promenade into the sea and provide the space that the tower blocks, far too high and far too near the sea, seem to demand.

They are not only intended to improve the available space for the number of people but also the city to sea cross-section.

The breakwaters shelter a fun area where lights and wooden platforms combine to draw shapes in the sea.

The idea is to turn the whole seafront into a play area during the day and a place to walk or sit and contemplate at night.
