| Monastrell es un pequeño espacio proyectado para crear un ambiente definido y grato apropiado al uso a que se destina. La solución limpia de espacios, encuentros y acabados garantiza una arquitectura sin protagonismo que deje lugar a la vida para desarrollarse. Los materiales propuestos- madera, piedra natural y aluminio - combinados adecuadamente, contribuyen a ello. Como si de un cofre se tratara, una fuerte y continua plancha metálica protege de la calle ruidosa y tumultuosa. Tras ella la extrema claridad del espacio y su bondad material preservan un ambiente especialmente atento a dejar estar. Nada en él reclama la atención de quien lo habita. La visión diagonal propiciada por el acristalamiento sobre la puerta de acceso permite un conocimiento mutuo entre interior y exterior. Una contaminación suficiente que permita intuir a ambos la presencia del otro. |
Monastrell is a small space, designed to create a specific, pleasant atmosphere that will suit its intended use. The clean treatment of spaces, angles and finishes ensures a lack of stridency that leaves room for life to develop. The materials, wood, natural stone and aluminium, suitably combined, assist in this intention. As in a strongbox, a strong, continuous sheet of plate metal provides protection from the noise and bustle of the street. Behind this, an extreme clarity of space and good materials maintain an atmosphere that is particularly attentive to letting people be: nothing calls the attention of its users. The diagonal line of sight through the fanlight over the entrance allows mutual recognition between interior and exterior, a contamination that is sufficient to allow each to intuit the presence of the other. |
